Is MLM for you? That's a question you have to ask yourself based upon your personality and what you expect from a business opportunity.
If you want something that is going to provide immediate income, MLM is not something you should try. These types of businesses are based upon residual income—in other words, you build the network, and once you become successful, you will make money whether you are doing anything or not.
Keep in mind that many of these MLM organizations expect you to buy for personal use or sell a certain number of products per month in order to make any money.
The key to success in MLM is choosing an organization that has a product that everyone needs no matter how tough things become. Look at it from the standpoint of: if I'm short on money, what will I give up?
That eliminates products such as herbal supplements that you can buyer cheaper in your local area, certain cosmetics, and other limited items. You will also not do well in a single product line such as a company that only sells vitamins, or only sells make up.
That's the idea behind MLM, to establish a network that has a variety of products that people can buy from one distributor.
